Very Rare Russo Japanese War Set of 3 Infantry Victory Lacquer Sake Cups

This is an antique Japanese set of military sake cups, made of lacquered wood and decorated each with a different image. The largest cup has what looks like a Tengu and a snake – protective spirits. The middle cup has an image of a traditional Chinese city wall with a gate tower, and a yinyang symbol. The smallest cup has what looks like bamboo leaves. The words on the back of each of the cups are identical – they say « Meiji 37/38th Years War Commemoration » « 61st Infantry Regiment 2nd Company ». These are very unique designs and one-of-a-kind.
