Very Rare Antique Japanese Military Wounded Badge Army Sake Cup

This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a nice wounded badge in the center surrounded by a cherry blossom rim. The words are « Wounded Badge Received Commemoration » and the soldier’s name Hirano. For some reason cups featuring the wounded badge are extremely rare – this is the first one I’ve ever encountered. I guess the wounded badge isn’t something  you want to commemorate with a sake cup?
