This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a double cherry blossom, and the words « War Victory Commemoration » « Meiji 27/28th Years » and on the back « Minamiuonuma Victorious Return Soldiers Celebration Party. » This refers to the first Sino Japanese war of 1895 and would’ve been a cup given out during a part welcoming the soldiers home.
