This is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a pair of flags, a chrysanthemum, and a scroll that details every major victory in the Sino Japanese War. The big words are « 3rd Division » « Qing Conquest Participation Commemoration ». The list of victories include land victories in Korea and also naval victories. The soldier’s full name Akabori Sataro is on the back.
