Very Rare Antique Japanese Navy Torpedo Boat #25 Combat Skills Award Lacquer Sake Cup

This is a very rare antique Japanese torpedo boat lacquer sake cup, decorated with a banner with the imperial chrysanthemum at the top and the words « Combat Skills Victory Flag ». The words on top are « Victory Commemoration » and under the banner « Torpedo Boat #25 ». The victory referred to here is the annual skills competition that the navy held among ships, and this cup is a commemoration of the victory there in this skills competition. The #25 torpedo boat was commissioned in 1895 and served until 1913. It fought in the Russo Japanese War. This is the first torpedo boat cup I’ve ever seen and quite rare given that it names the specific ship.
